Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
1. Purpose
Solmere Homes LLC provides residential and commercial remodeling services. This policy explains the general approach to cancellations, deposits, materials, refunds and project concerns. Specific terms may vary by project and will be stated in the applicable written agreement.
2. Cancellation rights
Where a customer has a cancellation right under applicable federal, state or local law, Solmere Homes LLC will honor that right. Any required cancellation notice should be delivered in writing using the contact information below and within the legally applicable time period.
3. Deposits and scheduling payments
A deposit, scheduling payment or material payment may be required before work is placed on the schedule or materials are ordered. The amount, purpose and refundability of any payment will be described in the signed project agreement.
4. Cancellation before work begins
If a client cancels before work begins, Solmere Homes LLC will review the timing of the request, project preparation already completed, reserved labor, purchased materials and other documented costs. Any refund due will be calculated according to the signed agreement and applicable law.
5. Cancellation after work begins
After work begins, the client remains responsible for completed labor, approved services, materials, delivery charges, permits, subcontractor costs and other project expenses incurred before cancellation.
6. Materials and special orders
Custom, special-order, cut-to-size, opened, installed or non-returnable materials may not be refundable after purchase. Returnable materials may be subject to supplier restocking, pickup, delivery or return fees.
7. Client-supplied materials
Solmere Homes LLC is not responsible for defects, delays, compatibility issues, missing parts or performance limitations caused by materials supplied directly by the client, except to the extent required by law or stated in writing.
8. Changes and change orders
Changes requested after approval of the original scope may require a written change order. Changes may affect price, materials, labor and schedule. Additional payment may be required before changed or added work begins.
9. Contractor cancellation or postponement
Solmere Homes LLC may postpone or cancel work when conditions make performance unsafe, unlawful or impractical, including severe weather, unsafe site conditions, unavailable materials, emergencies, access issues or events beyond reasonable control. The company will communicate available alternatives and account for payments according to the agreement and applicable law.
10. Quality concerns
Clients should report concerns promptly in writing and include a description and photographs where possible. Solmere Homes LLC will review the concern and, when appropriate, arrange an inspection. Confirmed issues covered by the project agreement will be addressed according to the agreed remedy.
11. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payer using the original payment method when practical. Processing time may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
12. Payment disputes
Clients are encouraged to contact Solmere Homes LLC directly before initiating a payment dispute. The company may provide contracts, invoices, communications, photographs and other project records to a bank, processor or payment provider when responding to a dispute.
13. Governing agreement
If this website policy conflicts with a signed project agreement, the signed project agreement controls to the extent permitted by applicable law.
